Choose splitting when you need separate files
Splitting is useful when different people need different pages from the same report, or when a form submission accepts one page per attachment. It creates separate documents; it does not edit the text on a page. Keep the complete original so you can always return to its full context.
What Folio exports
Choose one PDF in Split PDF, then convert it. Folio exports every page as a separate PDF in a ZIP archive. The files are named page-1.pdf, page-2.pdf and so on. This version does not ask you to select a page range: it splits the entire input. Limits are 10 MB and 50 pages.
Organize the download
Extract the ZIP using your device’s file manager. Open the pages you intend to share and rename those copies to describe their purpose. For example, page-3.pdf could become signed-consent.pdf. If you need several extracted pages together, use Merge PDF with those page files in your chosen order.
Before sending a single page
A page may depend on a heading, footnote or instruction found elsewhere in the original. Check whether that context should accompany it. Splitting also does not redact confidential information. Review everything visible on the page before sharing; do not assume a filename change removes content or metadata.
