Two different goals share one name
A PDF-to-PowerPoint conversion can mean placing a picture of each PDF page on a slide, or trying to recreate editable text boxes, shapes and tables. These outputs serve different needs. Page images can preserve appearance, while an editable reconstruction requires more interpretation and review.
Check the slide proportions
A portrait report does not fit naturally on a widescreen presentation slide. Fitting the whole page can leave wide margins; filling the slide can crop important content. Decide whether you need the complete original page or a redesigned summary for an audience viewing it from a distance.
Review readability and editability
Open the exported presentation and inspect small labels and diagrams at presentation size. Try selecting a sentence: if the entire page is selected, it is probably an image rather than editable text. Do not promise colleagues an editable deck without checking how the actual output is built.
Availability in Folio
PDF to PowerPoint is coming soon. Folio does not currently generate presentation files. If you own the source presentation, use that original for edits. If you only need selected pages from a report as reference material, Split PDF can separate those pages without attempting to turn them into slides.
